Susan Heinrich is a Canadian writer based in Denver, Colorado. She began her career as a journalist at Canada’s National Post before transitioning to freelance writing while raising her two sons. After relocating from Toronto to Denver, Susan studied novel writing and literary craft at the renowned Lighthouse Writers Workshop, where she participated in workshops with authors such as Andre Dubus III and Kazuo Ishiguro.
In 2020, she founded Midlife Globetrotter, a website and platform to help women 40+ follow their travel dreams to new places. Susan is passionate about reframing midlife as an opportunity and explores themes of reinvention and self-discovery in her work.
Susan is a member of the North American Travel Journalists Association. She has two young-adult sons, and lives with her husband Sean, and a quirky rescue dog, Archie. She is currently completing her debut novel.
