Marian Adams was born in 1964 and is one of six children. She grew up in a large Irish family on Long Island, never far from any of her fifty-six first cousins.
She received a master of fine arts from Saint Michael’s College in 1986 and worked in public relations post-college in New York City. She loves books, movies, cooking, and the ocean. Marian married her childhood sweetheart, a United States Marine, in 1989. They settled on Long Island with their three children after several years on the West Coast.
Marian is honored and grateful to share her story in the hope that it will empower women to advocate for themselves when it comes to their health. Her wish is that all women will be better equipped than she was to navigate the many challenging medical issues they may face in midlife.
